Certified Athletic Therapist, Osteopath
“I’ve always felt a deep satisfaction in helping others. Drawing from my experience as a provincial level gymnast and coach, I provide solutions individually geared to each client, whether they are a newborn infant, young athlete, pregnant mother, cirque du soleil artist or a CFL or NHL athlete. While everyone is different the goal is the same: feeling better, living pain free, and bettering oneself. I know and understand through my own experience how pain and injury can be serious but with the proper tools and treatments rehabilitation can progress smoother and help avoid further injury. My goal is to run a clinic with like-minded health care professionals.”
Ora brings fifteen years of remarkable experience to the team. She previously worked as an Athletic Therapist for Cirque du Soleil for four years, and the National Circus School for nine years, and continues to be the coordinator and head therapist for Questo Gymnastics Club. She has organized and managed the therapy team in rhythmic gymnastics for two world cup events held in Montreal.
Ora graduated from Concordia University with a B.Sc. in Exercise Science with a specialization in Athletic Therapy. She then went on to study at the Collège d’Etudes Ostéopathiques in Montreal where she defended her thesis and won the Sutherland Award for clinical research for “The Effects of a General Osteopathic Treatment on Pregnant Women Suffering from Lumbosacral and/or Pelvic Girdle Pain.”
Ora has completed four Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) courses, which she has integrated into her practice. Being a mother of three has also given Ora a unique perspective on treating people of all ages, and athletic ability.
